THE PAINTING LIFE.
My name is Theresa Roberts and I am an artist living in the Buffalo, NY area. For many years I
painted Chinese brush paintings, a style which I was fortunate to learn from a Chinese friend. But my heart
kept tugging back to my own culture. With the creation of water soluble oils I started to do the occasional oil.
This has led me to whole heartedly put my creative energies into paintings oils. I find encouragement viewing
the works of Duane Keiser ( creator of the painting a day movement), Carol Marine and Richard Schmid to name
just few. . I strive to create painterly works that fall somewhere between impressionism and realism and that
show the beauty of everyday life. With this new journey I am living the painting life!
