Peggy Riexinger
Brush Dance Body Art
I am an artist with many interests..painting, jewelry making, floral design, cooking, cake decorating,
interior design, sewing..I enjoy “ getting lost ” while creating something. Those of us with
creating spirits know that creating is just something we need to do. My current creative passion involves
face and body painting. It’s a temporary art. The person becomes my canvas and an illusion is created.
It is viewed, pictures may be taken, then it’s washed off.
The medium used is....waterbased theatrical makeup FDA approved for use on the skin.
Currently I live in the Village of Lancaster New York. My drawing and painting background started in
school. I graduated from Buffalo State College with a BS in Design. I think we learn mostly by doing, observing
others and being inspired by many things. I have had successes and some “not so good, but getting there
“ moments.
My favoite quote is;
“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes.
Art is knowing which ones to keep.”
