Alice Dobrowolski.

Alice Dobrowolski is a Watercolor Artist who has been involved in art all her life.

Alice studied at the University of Buffalo and is a graduate of Albright Art School. She began her professional career as a graphic, layout and fashion artist in the advertising departments of several retail stores in Buffalo including A.M. & A.'s, Berger's, Hens and Kelly's and Jenss. In addition Alice has worked as an elementary art educator, and as a commercial art and design consultant. She has been a member of the Twin Village Art Society for over 30 years.

After studying with artists George Palmer and Margaret Martin of Buffalo, New York, Alice was inspired to expand her own investigation into watercolor painting, a medium she finds to be both challenging and enjoyable. Working from original photography and sketches, or from the inspiration of her own garden, Alice translates the familiar things she finds interesting into painted textured landscapes and brilliant colored paintings of flowers using only watercolor.

Much of the photography and sketches she has gathered are from her travels to California and Arizona, however the subject matter of her collection also includes urban cityscapes, rural scenes and waterscapes. Alice also does commissioned portraits of animals and homes and has shown her work at Western New York galleries and festivals.
